4 Week Intermediate Trick Class

Tricks build your relationship with your dog, increase mental flexibility (focus and engagement), help develop control, and increase motivation.

About this class

We will cover a minimum of 10 intermediate tricks that you can use to obtain your next AKC trick title. Both Theresa and Tracy are AKC evaluators.

Week 1 – Heeling with an automatic sit; Jump over handler’s leg or through handler’s circled arms; 6 weave poles
Week 2 – Review prior week. Weave around handler’s legs; a total of 3 hand signals for commands such as sit, down, come or stand; wobble board; shell game
Week 3 – Review prior weeks’ 7 tricks. Paws up on handler’s arm, open a drawer with a cloth handle, and rollover.
Week 4 – Class review of all tricks, and then students perform their tricks individually. Tricks will be evaluated if requested for the next title.
