Adult Dog Group Class

Intro to Tracking

Your dog’s keen sense of smell – which is 100,000 times stronger than humans – makes him naturally “nosey,” and thus innately ideal for the sport of Tracking.

About this class

Get your dog involved in Understanding Your Dog’s “Intro to Tracking Class”, where they can demonstrate that natural ability to recognize and follow a scent.

The fundamental features of the Intro to Tracking emphasize your dog’s ability to follow a track laid by a person under a variety of scenting conditions and to find the articles dropped by that person.

Owners who do tracking with their dogs find joy in seeing the dogs at work using their innate scenting skills. If you and your dog like the outdoors, try tracking! Enjoyable for all owners who want to take nose work to the next level.

Info to Tracking offers:

  • teaching your dog to follow a particular scent
  • more active nose work
  • lots of brisk walking
  • working in groups vs. individual work
