About this class
The Canine Good Citizen Program ensures that our favorite companion can be a respected member of the community because it has been trained to be well-behaved in the home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs.
In this 6-week class, your dog will learn:
- Accept a friendly stranger
- Sit politely for petting
- Appearance and grooming
- Our for a walk (walking on a loose leash)
- Walking through a crowd
- Sit & Down on command and stay in place
- Come when called
- Reaction to another dog
- Reaction to distraction
- Supervised separation
Prerequisite: Dogs must be 12 months old or older.
All Dogs must be current on all vaccinations. If your dog reacts negatively toward other dogs or people or has severe behavior issues, these classes will not be a good fit. Contact Understanding Your Dog for private sessions, which will be the better option.
