Puppy/Small Breed Group Class

Puppy 103

October 15 - November 5

Wednesdays from 6-7pm

$115 for 4-week series

Your Teenage Dog, or adolescent dog, is a puppy who is experiencing a surge in hormones and brain development that can lead to increased energy, moodiness, and a temporary “forgetting” of previously learned commands. This challenging phase requires patience, consistent positive training, environmental management to prevent unwanted behaviors, and plenty of physical and mental exercise.
In this one-hour class, we will teach your Teenage Dog how to walk without ‘the pull’, how to live with various distractions, such as the sights, sounds, & smells of the world around you, and how to understand play styles with ‘Free Play’.  With training and support, your Teenage Dog can successfully navigate this period and grow into a happy, well-behaved adult dog.

Prerequisite: This class is best for puppies 7 months old - 11 months old. Registration for Puppy 103 requires proof of all up-to-date vaccinations.

All Dogs must be current on all vaccinations. If your dog reacts negatively toward other dogs or people or has severe behavior issues, these classes will not be a good fit. Contact Understanding Your Dog for private sessions, which will be the better option.
